In 2001, I began my career working in rural Northern Michigan with women and infants enrolled in the Early Head Start program. Visiting with mothers and babies in their homes, I learned early on that women are amazingly resilient and powerful even in the midst of enormous challenges. In order to be more effective in helping individuals create happy and fulfilling lives, I pursued my Master’s of Social Work degree and graduated in 2004. I then made my way to the Windy City and spent 5 years working with children and families in the Chicago area. It was in Chicago that I completed a post graduate certificate in infant mental health.

In 2010, I followed a persistent sense of calling in my life and moved to Atlanta to complete a Master’s Degree in Divinity at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. At Candler, I spent time learning to integrate the spiritual into my clinical framework.

After seminary, I joined a group counseling practice, Care and Counseling Center of Georgia. At CCCG I engaged both clinical work and directed a training program, providing supervision and training to doctoral students and post-degree clinicians seeking licensure. Training and supervision are true joys for me. I love helping clinicians develop into competent, confident and reflective practitioners.
